Shout out to Lexi in 5/6C who attended the Australian Children’s Laureate Launch at the State Library on Tuesday 24th as a member of the Press Gang. Lexi and her team interviewed many attendees on the red carpet, including Caroline Butler-Bowden, NSW State Librarian and children's author Tim Harris. Lexi said the best part of her day was during the live stream. She says: "Andy Griffiths and illustrator Bill Hope taught the audience (of primary school kids) how to write a story using "oh no!" and "oh yeah!" Andy had a copy of his new book "Let's go" then he said it's the only book, who wants it? 200 kids put their hands up. Then he said 'what if the director walked in with a whole trolley of 200 books?' and he did! And every child in the audience got a book!"
