Anti-Racism Contact Officers

Racism impacts on student wellbeing, participation at school and learning outcomes. Racism and racist behaviour are not tolerated in NSW public schools.

The Anti-racism education policy implementation document provides schools with a guide for implementing anti-racism education. It describes racism in Australia and its effects in schools.

The policy requires that every school has an Anti-Racism Contact Officer (ARCO) who plays an important role in assisting the principal to implement three major aspects of the policy:

  • promoting anti-racism education
  • supporting the handling of complaints
  • monitoring incidents of racism.

To contact the Anti-Racism Policy Officers at Forest Lodge Public School, please email Attn: Ms Tuite via forestlodg- p.school@det.nsw.edu.au
